Switchgear OEMs and integrators don't want a metal shop that needs the difference between a low-voltage panelboard section and a medium-voltage metal-clad cell explained to them. They want a supplier who can take a released drawing package for a lineup — frames, side sheets, doors, hinged panels, interphase barriers, bus compartment covers, rear covers, roof plates — and deliver it powder-coated, hardware installed, and staged for their assembly line.

FabTek fabricates switchgear panels and panel enclosures as a contract fabricator to the OEM's print at our Hazlehurst, Mississippi plants: Amada fiber laser and CNC press-brake forming for repeatable panel flatness and bend accuracy, AWS-certified welding on frames and weldments, hardware and PEM insertion, and in-house powder coat to the OEM's color and film build. We run production programs at hundreds of enclosure units a month on a single shift, and we hold the same tolerance discipline on a 14-gauge door as on a welded frame. The panels we fabricate ship to OEM and integrator assembly floors, where they become the housing for breakers, bus and controls.
