A RAS 76.40-2 Series MEGAbend automated CNC folder for the parts a press brake struggles with — long, wide cabinet skins, doors, roof panels and enclosure walls folded without tooling marks and without a second operator.

A wide enclosure wall or a long cabinet skin is awkward on a press brake: it sags between the operator's hands, it needs two people to flip, and the tooling can mark a surface that is about to be powder coated. A panel folder holds the sheet flat on a table, clamps the edge and folds the flange up or down with a folding beam, so a single operator forms a long part with no marks and no sag. For the outdoor enclosure and cabinet skins FabTek builds in volume, that means faster forming and a cleaner finish.
FabTek's RAS 76.40-2 MEGAbend is a CNC panel folder with programmed sequences for the enclosure walls, doors, roof panels and skins in our cabinet families. Blanks come from the fiber laser with hems and flanges laid out; the MEGAbend folds them in a programmed sequence; the finished panel goes to welding or hardware and then to powder coat. The press brakes stay on the shorter, heavier work they are better at.
Long side walls and skins for walk-in switchgear, generator and BESS enclosures.
Hemmed doors, drip-shield roofs and removable roof panels for outdoor cabinets.
Wide wraps and back panels for transformer cabinets and PDU/UPS cabinets.
Long aluminum and steel covers with folded flanges.
Machine guards, conveyor covers and flat panels with folded edges.

Enclosure walls, doors and roof skins.

The folding beam raises the flange along the full length in one clamp.

The sheet stays on the table; the machine moves.

Skins fit up square on walk-in enclosures, BESS and generator packages.

Walk-in and outdoor enclosures — generator enclosures, BESS enclosures, NEMA 3R enclosures, switchgear enclosures — along with cabinet skins, busway covers and the formed guards and covers on conveyor systems.

The MEGAbend is a CNC folding cell, not a bending machine with an operator holding the sheet. The panel is clamped once, the machine positions it, and the folding beam raises every flange in the programmed sequence — up and down bends, hems and closed profiles — with one operator at the control. Because the sheet never leaves the table, there are no handling marks or tooling marks on the finished surface, which matters when the part goes straight to a powder-coat line whose finish is inspected to a 2,000-hour salt-spray standard. And because the sequence is a program, the hundredth door and roof skin match the first: the same flange heights, the same squareness, no re-measuring between parts. That repeatability is what makes long outdoor enclosure panels a production item at FabTek, alongside the press brakes that handle the rest of the forming floor.

Built at four production sites in Hazlehurst, Mississippi.
ISO 9001:2015 quality management, AWS-certified welding, OSHA-compliant facilities.
In-house powder coat backed by an IEEE 2000-hour salt-spray certification.
Reserved-line capacity and the automation to grow with your volume.
A panel folder clamps a sheet flat and folds the edge with a beam, so long and wide panels form without sagging, flipping or tooling marks. It is the better choice for enclosure walls, doors, roofs and skins; press brakes remain better for short, heavy and narrow parts.

Yes. The folding beam doesn't mark the show face, so pre-painted, film-protected and brushed stainless panels form cleanly.
Yes. Folded walls, doors and skins ship to print for OEM assembly.
