Open-frame 304/316 stainless conveyors designed to be cleaned: continuous welds, no hollow members or flat ledges, tool-less belt lift and removable wear strips — for poultry, meat, seafood, dairy and ready-to-eat lines.
A conveyor in a food plant is cleaned every day, and a conveyor that can't be cleaned becomes a harborage point for Listeria and Salmonella no matter how good the sanitation crew is. Sanitary design is a set of rules: stainless throughout, continuous welds ground smooth, no hollow tubing that can trap water, sloped surfaces that drain, standoffs between frame members, tool-less belt lift so the sanitation crew can get under the belt, and fasteners kept out of the product zone.
FabTek builds sanitary conveyors to those rules at our Hazlehurst, Mississippi plants, in 304 or 316 stainless welded to AWS D1.6 in dedicated stainless cells, with welds ground and passivated in-house and frames finished to a cleanable surface. Belting is modular plastic or positive-drive homogeneous belt per your food-safety plan; bearings, drives and legs are washdown-rated. We design to USDA/FSIS and 3-A sanitary design principles and build to your plant's own sanitary design standard when you have one.
