Hurco TM10 and Daewoo 230B CNC lathes and a Sharp precision lathe for the round parts a fabrication needs — bushings, shafts, rollers, spacers, fittings and threaded components — turned to print beside the equipment they go into.
Conveyors turn on shafts and rollers. Tanks have threaded bosses, fittings and drain valves. Structures have pins and bushings. Enclosures have standoffs and spacers. Those turned parts are small next to the weldment they go into, but the weldment doesn't work without them, and buying them from a separate machine shop puts a second supplier on the schedule. FabTek turns them in-house on CNC lathes in the machining cell.
The turning cell runs a Hurco TM10 CNC lathe, a Daewoo 230B CNC lathe and a Sharp 1800LV precision lathe, with Monarch, LeBlond and Jet engine lathes for secondary and one-off work. Parts are programmed from the engineering group's models, turned in batches sized to the fabrication they belong to, and delivered to assembly with the weldment. The same cell turns repair and replacement parts for conveyor and plant equipment FabTek maintains in the field.
Drive and idler shafts, roller bodies, sprocket hubs and bearing journals.
Pivot bushings, standoffs, spacers and sleeves for structures, enclosures and equipment.
Threaded bosses, drain and fill fittings, gauge bosses and adapters for tanks and accessories.
Pins, studs, threaded rods and custom fasteners.
Shafts, rollers and bushings turned to match worn parts for field maintenance.
Parts turned to print for customers who need machined components alone.

Batches sized to the fabrication they belong to.

Hurco, Daewoo and Sharp lathes for shafts, rollers, bushings and fittings.

Manual lathes for one-off and repair work.

Shafts and rollers fitted to conveyors, tanks and structures.

Conveyor systems and sanitary conveyors, transformer tanks and accessories, equipment skids and platforms, substation structures and the plant equipment FabTek's industrial services crews maintain.

A conveyor built to fit a plant rarely uses catalog shafts. Lengths, journals and keyways are set by the frame FabTek designed, so the shafts are turned to that design in the same cell, in the same week, and arrive at assembly with the frame. When a shaft wears out years later, the same drawing turns the replacement. That is why FabTek's industrial services crews can repair a conveyor from the truck: the parts were made here.

FabTek Industries turns shafts, rollers, bushings and fittings on its own CNC lathes at its Hazlehurst, Mississippi plants for the conveyors, tanks and equipment it builds.
Yes. Worn shafts, rollers and bushings are measured and turned to match, or to the original drawing where FabTek built the equipment.
Yes. Turned parts are quoted to print for customers who need machined components without the fabrication.
