The access and screening steel around the equipment — catwalks over the pipe racks, crossovers in the generator yard, stairs and ships ladders to the roof plant, guardrail everywhere a fall is possible, and the louvered screens that hide it all from the street.
A campus full of rooftop chillers, yard generators and elevated pipe racks has to be reachable and safe: catwalks along the racks, crossovers between the generator rows, stairs and ships ladders to the dunnage, platforms at every valve and filter, and guardrail wherever the edge is more than four feet up. The same yards have to pass the architect's review, which means equipment screens, louvered enclosures and fence-line panels that hide the plant and still let it breathe. It is miscellaneous steel, it is everywhere, and it holds up the final inspection when it is late.
FabTek fabricates access and screening steel at our Hazlehurst, Mississippi plants: stringers, treads, grating and handrail cut and welded to the details, ships ladders and cages, catwalk frames and crossovers, and architectural screens with louvers, perforated panels and support frames. Steel is hot-dip galvanized through our finishing partners or powder-coated in-house to the architect's color, and ships match-marked with the dunnage and platforms it connects to.
Grating-deck walkways along pipe racks and over equipment, with handrail and toe plate.
Industrial stairs, ships ladders with cages or rails, and landings to OSHA.
Pipe, tube and bar guardrail with posts, kick plates and gates.
Louvered and perforated screens with support frames, designed to the wind load and the architect's elevation.
Platforms at valves, filters, dampers and instruments, with ladders or stairs.
Send the architectural and structural details; we fabricate and match-mark to them.

Data center roofs, generator yards and cooling plants; substation and switchyard access; industrial plants and processing facilities; and parking and loading areas that need guardrail and bollards. GCs and developers buy the miscellaneous-steel package; mechanical contractors buy platforms with their equipment; architects specify screens that we fabricate to.

Access steel that does not fit the dunnage it was drawn for gets field-cut and looks like it. FabTek details stairs, catwalks and screens against the equipment support steel, often fabricated in the same shop, trial-fits connections before galvanizing, and ships every piece match-marked for the erector. Screens are detailed to the equipment's clearance and service requirements, not just the elevation.
Built at four production sites in Hazlehurst, Mississippi.
ISO 9001:2015 quality management, AWS-certified welding, OSHA-compliant facilities.
In-house powder coat backed by an IEEE 2000-hour salt-spray certification.
Reserved-line capacity and the automation to grow with your volume.
Yes. We fabricate stairs, ships ladders, catwalks, platforms and guardrail to the project's details and OSHA requirements at our Mississippi plants, galvanized or powder coated.
FabTek Industries fabricates louvered and perforated equipment screens with their support frames, alongside the dunnage, catwalks and stairs for the same roof.
Our crews erect yard and substation structures in our service area; elsewhere we ship match-marked steel with erection drawings for the contractor's erector.
Yes. Bar or plank grating is supplied cut and banded to the platform layout.
