Modular plastic belting is built from interlocking molded modules joined by hinge rods and driven by sprockets, so it can't wander off-track the way a friction-driven fabric belt can, it runs wet, it handles curves and inclines, and a damaged section is replaced by pulling two rods. That is why it dominates poultry, meat and food processing. The frame underneath decides whether the conveyor is easy to clean, easy to service and still square in five years.
FabTek builds modular belt conveyors at our Hazlehurst, Mississippi plants: laser-cut and formed 304/316 stainless or powder-coated carbon frames, UHMW wear strips, sprocketed drive and idler shafts, belt-lift and tool-less takeup provisions, and gearmotor drives with VFD-ready controls. Belting is specified to the plant's standard — flat-top, flush-grid, raised-rib, flighted or side-flexing — in polypropylene, polyethylene or acetal. Sanitary versions follow our sanitary conveyor design rules.
