The large, heavy and awkward ductwork a sheet-metal shop would rather not build — plenum boxes the size of a room, welded transitions, high-pressure trunk duct, damper and louver frames — fabricated on the same equipment that builds our enclosures.
An air-cooled data center moves enormous volumes of air through air-handling galleries, fan walls, supply plenums and return paths, and the ductwork that carries it is a different animal from commercial HVAC duct: larger, heavier gauge, often welded rather than seamed, and built to pressure classes that standard spiral duct cannot meet. Plenums, fan-wall frames, transitions from air handlers to the hall, outdoor intake and exhaust hoods, and the damper and louver frames in the wall are closer to enclosure fabrication than to tin-knocking, and that is where FabTek comes in.
We fabricate heavy-gauge ductwork, plenums and air-path components at our Hazlehurst, Mississippi plants on the laser, press-brake and welding equipment that builds our enclosures. Galvanized, aluminum and stainless sheet is cut and formed to the duct drawings, seams are welded or Pittsburgh-locked to the pressure class, flanges and stiffeners are added to the standard, and assemblies are powder-coated or left mill-finish as specified. Duct ships with the hangers and supports from our support steel line.
Heavy-gauge welded or locked duct with flanged joints and stiffeners to the pressure class.
Welded plenum boxes, fan-wall support frames, access doors and panels.
Welded transitions, elbows, offsets and branch fittings to the air-handler and hall connections.
Outdoor-rated hoods, rain hoods and screens for rooftop and wall air paths.
Welded frames for control dampers, fire dampers and wall louvers, with mounting flanges.
Trapeze hangers, saddle supports and floor stands shipped with the duct.

Air-handling galleries and fan walls at data centers; supply and return plenums; rooftop and penthouse mechanical spaces; industrial process exhaust and dust-collection trunk lines; generator room ventilation and combustion-air paths; and E-Room and enclosure HVAC connections. Mechanical contractors buy the heavy pieces their sheet-metal shop cannot handle; developers and GCs add duct to the mechanical steel package.

A plenum that does not seal is a leak the fans pay for forever. FabTek builds plenums and large fittings on the same fixtured forming and welding process that holds our enclosure tolerances, so flanges mate flat and access panels seal. Large sections are trial-assembled in the shop and match-marked before they are broken down for shipment.
Built at four production sites in Hazlehurst, Mississippi.
ISO 9001:2015 quality management, AWS-certified welding, OSHA-compliant facilities.
In-house powder coat backed by an IEEE 2000-hour salt-spray certification.
Reserved-line capacity and the automation to grow with your volume.
Yes. We fabricate heavy-gauge rectangular duct, plenums, transitions, hoods and damper frames for data center and industrial air systems at our Mississippi plants.
FabTek Industries fabricates welded plenums, fan-wall support frames and heavy trunk duct for mechanical contractors and developers, alongside the pipe, skids and support steel for the same galleries.
Our focus is the heavy, welded and large-format pieces. Standard spiral and light-gauge commercial duct is better sourced from a sheet-metal contractor's own shop.
Yes. Exposed duct and hoods are powder coated in-house to the project color.
