Mechanical assembly on the floor, electrical wire-out in the harness shop, and erection in the field — the work that turns FabTek's fabrications into finished, installation-ready deliverables instead of a pile of parts to coordinate.
A cabinet with its doors hung, hardware installed and sub-panel wired is worth more to an OEM than the same cabinet as parts, because the labor to finish it moved off their floor onto ours. A conveyor delivered as sections with the drives mounted and the belt tracked is worth more to a plant than the same conveyor in crates. Assembly is where FabTek adds that value, and it runs as three capabilities: mechanical assembly, electrical assembly and field assembly.
Mechanical assembly hangs doors, installs hardware, gaskets and hinges, mounts drives and guards, and fits the sub-assemblies that make a product complete. Electrical assembly builds harnesses and wires out panels and cabinets to the customer's drawings, bench-tested before shipment. Field assembly sends FabTek's own crews to erect substation steel and install conveyors and platforms on site. Together they let one purchase order cover a product from cut sheet to commissioned equipment.

On most programs, the fabrication isn't the schedule risk; the assembly is — skilled labor to hang doors, wire panels and set steel is what the customer is short of. FabTek's assembly capabilities exist to move that labor onto our floor and our crews, so what arrives at the OEM's line or the job site is ready to use. Our post on integrated wiring assemblies covers the electrical side; substation field erection covers the field side.
