The steel and enclosures behind the interconnect: BESS and PCS enclosures, battery racks, substation structures for the point of interconnection, equipment skids, and control and metering cabinets — built to print for developers, EPCs and integrators.
Request a QuoteSolar, wind and storage projects differ at the generation end and look alike at the grid end: a collector or interconnection substation full of dead-ends, bus supports and equipment stands; rows of BESS enclosures, PCS and inverter housings; and the control, metering and auxiliary cabinets that tie it together. Those are long-lead fabricated items, and they sit on the critical path to the commercial operation date.
FabTek fabricates that scope at four plants in Hazlehurst, Mississippi: BESS enclosures and battery racks, PCS and inverter enclosures, dead-end and A-frame structures and bus supports and equipment stands for the interconnection substation, control and SCADA cabinets, equipment skids and platforms, and transformer cabinets for the step-up transformers. Structures are hot-dip galvanized to ASTM A123; enclosures are powder-coated in-house with an IEEE 2000-hour salt-spray rating. Our substation assembly crews can erect the steel.

View →Renewable projects are built on a COD, with liquidated damages behind it, and the fabricated scope is released late because the interconnection design finishes late. FabTek runs reserved capacity for developers and EPCs with a pipeline of projects, so the structures package and the enclosure order have a slot before the drawings are final. Our Substation Project Lifecycle series explains where steel falls in the schedule.
U.S. fabrication with predominantly U.S.-sourced material for projects with domestic-content requirements
Yes — BESS and PCS enclosures, battery racks, interconnection substation steel, equipment skids and control cabinets, built to print in Hazlehurst, Mississippi.
FabTek supplies both the enclosures and the substation structures for storage and renewable interconnections, with field erection available.
Our tanks, structures and enclosures are fabricated in Mississippi from predominantly U.S.-sourced material; ask us about documentation for your project's requirements.
No — the enclosures, racks and steel around them. Listings and system design stay with the integrator.

Send the single-line, the site layout and the COD — we'll scope the fabricated package and reserve capacity against it.
