Cylindrical tube-cooled tanks for pole-mount distribution transformers and single-phase voltage regulators — rolled and welded shells, U-tube radiator banks, flanged cover openings and pole hanger brackets, built to your OEM print and leak-tested before paint.
Most of the transformers in America hang on poles, and most of them live in a round tank: a rolled steel shell with a welded bottom, a flanged top for the cover, a bank of U-shaped cooling tubes welded into the shell wall to shed heat, and a hanger bracket that carries the unit on the pole. The same construction, scaled up, is the tank for a single-phase step voltage regulator. It looks simple. Holding the flange flat, keeping the tube-to-shell welds leak-free through a pressure test, and getting the hanger bracket square to the shell at hundreds of units is not.
FabTek fabricates round, tube-cooled transformer tanks to OEM print at our Hazlehurst, Mississippi plants: shells rolled from coil or sheet and seam-welded, bottoms and flanged top rings welded and machined flat where the drawing calls for it, cooling tubes bent, fitted and welded into the shell, hanger brackets, lifting lugs, drain and fill bosses, nameplate pads and ground pads installed to print. Every tank is leak-tested before finish, then blasted and powder-coated in-house to the OEM's color. We build the tank; the core-and-coil, bushings and the energized transformer stay with the OEM.
Round tube-cooled tanks for single-phase pole-mount transformers, with hanger brackets to the utility's mounting standard.
Larger round tube-cooled tanks for single-phase step voltage regulators, with control-cabinet mounting provisions. (Confirmed Sept 22: regulator tanks live on this page; no separate regulator page.)
Cylindrical tanks without cooling tubes for small units, dry-type housings and specialty apparatus.
Flanged covers, hanger brackets, lifting lugs, bushing pads and gasket surfaces machined to print.

Single-phase pole-mount distribution transformers for utilities and cooperatives; step voltage regulators; transformer remanufacturers and repair shops replacing damaged tanks; and the small-transformer programs that data center and industrial developers add at the fence line.

A pole-mount program needs tanks; a pad-mount program needs tanks and cabinets; a regulator program needs a tank and a control cabinet. FabTek builds all of them, and the winding through our coil assemblies line, so a transformer OEM can put the metal — and the electrical — for a whole product family with one supplier on one release schedule.
Built at four production sites in Hazlehurst, Mississippi.
ISO 9001:2015 quality management, AWS-certified welding, OSHA-compliant facilities.
In-house powder coat backed by an IEEE 2000-hour salt-spray certification.
Reserved-line capacity and the automation to grow with your volume.
Yes — rolled, tube-cooled cylindrical tanks with hanger brackets, fabricated to OEM print, leak-tested and painted in-house at our Hazlehurst, Mississippi plants.
FabTek fabricates round tube-cooled tanks for pole-mount transformers and single-phase regulators, alongside rectangular corrugated and fin-wall tanks, for transformer OEMs and remanufacturers.
Yes — every tank is leak-tested before it is finished.
Yes — the same round tube-cooled construction at regulator scale, with control-cabinet mounting provisions.
