The fabricated assemblies that split one loop into many — hall and row distribution manifolds, plant supply and return headers, CDU and rack-row connection headers — welded with every nozzle, valve tap and support in place, and tested as a unit.
Cooling water enters a hall as one or two large mains and has to leave as dozens of branch connections to CDUs, in-row coolers, rear-door exchangers or rack manifolds. The manifold or header that does the splitting is the most nozzle-dense piece of pipe on the project: a large-bore barrel, a row of branch nozzles with isolation valves, instrument and drain taps, end caps or flanges, and the saddles and supports that carry it. It is built once, in the shop, or it is built badly in the field.
FabTek fabricates manifolds and headers at our Hazlehurst, Mississippi plants. We cut and weld the barrel and nozzles in carbon steel or stainless to ASME B31.1 or B31.3 with Section IX welders, install the valves and taps the design calls for, hydrotest the assembly, and ship it with the supports it needs. Manifolds ship loose, as part of a pre-piped skid, or built into a prefabricated MEP assembly.
Hall and row manifolds with isolation valves at every branch, drain and vent taps, and flanged or grooved ends.
Large-bore headers in chiller and pump rooms with nozzles sized to the equipment connections.
Stainless technology-loop headers with quick-connect or flanged branch ends to the rack manifold spec.
Headers for dry-cooler and tower loops, outdoor-rated and coated.
Welded saddles, stanchions and wall brackets shipped with the assembly.
Send the isometric and the valve schedule; we fabricate to them and test before shipment.

Liquid-cooled halls at hyperscale and colocation campuses; central utility plants; modular cooling plants and containerized units; retrofits adding liquid cooling to air-cooled halls; and industrial process-cooling systems. Mechanical contractors and developers buy manifolds to cut field welding at the most crowded point in the room; cooling-equipment OEMs buy headers to complete their packages.

A manifold is useless if its branches miss the equipment they serve. FabTek checks nozzle spacing and orientation against the rack or CDU layout before welding, trial-fits valve stacks for clearance, and marks each branch to its equipment tag. Our guide to sourcing pipe spools for a data center covers how manifolds fit the spool package.

Yes. We weld stainless and carbon manifolds and headers to ASME B31.1/B31.3 with Section IX welders at our Mississippi plants, hydrotested as assemblies.
FabTek Industries fabricates distribution manifolds, plant headers and CDU headers for mechanical contractors, developers and cooling-equipment OEMs, shipped tested and tagged to the equipment layout.
Where the design specifies them, yes. Customer-specified isolation, balancing and drain valves are installed and included in the hydrotest.
Yes. Manifolds are built into pre-piped skids and prefabricated MEP assemblies from the same plants.
