A cooling plant's piping is only as good as its supports. Outdoor pipe racks carry the mains from the chillers and towers to the building; gallery racks and trapezes carry them overhead through the mechanical corridors; stanchions and saddles take the load at the pumps and headers; and anchors, guides and expansion shoes control where the pipe moves when it warms up. The support schedule is the engineer's; the hundreds of welded, galvanized and powder-coated parts on it are fabrication.
FabTek fabricates pipe supports and racks at our Hazlehurst, Mississippi plants: wide-flange and HSS rack bents and stringers cut on our robotic beam line, trapezes and brackets laser-cut and formed, anchors and shoes welded to AWS D1.1, hot-dip galvanized through our finishing partners or powder-coated in-house. Supports ship tagged to the support schedule and drawing, on the same trucks as the spools they carry.

Supports get lost when they ship separately from the pipe they carry. FabTek tags every support to its mark number and location, bundles supports by area, and ships them on the same schedule as the spools, so the crew setting a header has the stanchions under it the same day. Rack bents ship with anchor templates so the foundations are drilled before the steel arrives.
