Feed, meal, grain, wood chips and sawdust, rendering by-products, sludge and grit don't ride well on a belt. A screw conveyor moves them in an enclosed trough or tube with a rotating helical flight — dust-tight, self-clearing, able to meter as well as move, and able to incline where a belt would spill.
FabTek fabricates screw conveyors at our Hazlehurst, Mississippi plants, sized to your material, rate and incline: formed and welded U-troughs or tubular housings, sectional or helicoid flighting on shafted screws — or shaftless spirals for sticky and stringy materials — with hanger bearings, trough ends, inlets, discharges and covers to your layout. Carbon steel with powder coat or a customer-specified finish for feed and wood; 304/316 stainless for food and corrosive service. Drives are gearmotors or shaft-mounted reducers with VFD-ready controls.
