The pump set, the CDU, the heat exchanger or the chiller on a welded base with the piping, valves, instrument taps and control-panel mounts already in place — hydrotested here, set and connected there.
Liquid cooling turned the mechanical room into a set of packaged systems: coolant distribution units that separate the facility water from the technology loop, pump skids that move it, heat-exchanger skids that reject it, and chiller modules that cool it. Each is a piece of rotating or thermal equipment, a structural base, a run of piping with isolation and control valves, instrument taps, and a control panel — and the base, the piping and the panel mounts are fabrication. Building them in a plant instead of a mechanical room is faster, cleaner and testable.
FabTek fabricates pre-piped skids at our Hazlehurst, Mississippi plants. We weld the structural base to the equipment footprint and lifting plan, spool and install the interconnecting piping to ASME B31.1 or B31.3, set customer-supplied or specified pumps, exchangers and CDUs, install valves, strainers, instruments and panel enclosures where the P&ID calls for them, hydrotest the assembly, and finish the base on our powder-coat line. The spools, manifolds and control cabinets that make up the package come from the same floor.
Single and multi-pump bases with suction and discharge headers, isolation and check valves, strainers and drip pans.
Bases, piping and frames for coolant distribution units and plate-and-frame or brazed-plate exchangers, with facility and technology-loop connections.
Structural bases, piping connections and access platforms for packaged chillers and modular cooling plants.
Control-panel enclosures, instrument stands, cable tray and conduit supports on the skid.
Drip pans, containment curbs, grating and access stairs where the skid is tall.
Send the P&ID, the equipment drawings and the general arrangement; we build the skid around them.

Data center mechanical rooms and central utility plants; modular and containerized cooling plants; liquid-cooling retrofits in existing halls; industrial process cooling; and OEM cooling packages where the equipment maker wants a fabricated base and piping done elsewhere. Developers and mechanical contractors buy complete skids; equipment OEMs and integrators buy bases and piped frames.

A skid that leaks on the pad is worse than loose spools. FabTek hydrotests the piped assembly as a unit after the equipment is set, verifies flange alignment and valve orientation against the P&ID, and ships the skid with its test record and a photo set of every connection point. Panels ship wired to terminal strips where the project specifies it, so the controls contractor lands field cables and nothing else.
Built at four production sites in Hazlehurst, Mississippi.
ISO 9001:2015 quality management, AWS-certified welding, OSHA-compliant facilities.
In-house powder coat backed by an IEEE 2000-hour salt-spray certification.
Reserved-line capacity and the automation to grow with your volume.
The equipment is the OEM's and the mechanical design is the engineer's. FabTek fabricates the base and piping, installs customer-supplied or specified equipment and valves, and tests the assembly.
FabTek Industries fabricates and tests packaged mechanical skids at its Mississippi plants for developers, mechanical contractors and cooling-equipment OEMs.
Yes. The piped assembly is hydrotested as a unit to the specification, and the record ships with the skid.
We fabricate the panel enclosure and mount it on the skid; panel internals are installed to the controls integrator's drawings where specified.
