Most conveyor inquiries we receive start with one line: what the material is and where it needs to go. That is enough to begin. This page explains what helps us quote accurately, how we handle confidential process information, what a typical timeline looks like, and who you will be talking to.
Ready now? Call 601.892.5017, email sales@fabtekindustries.com or use the contact form — tell us the material and where it needs to go.
- You do not need drawings to start. A call to describe the material, rate, route and environment is enough.
- We sign NDAs — yours or ours — before confidential drawings and process details are exchanged.
- A complete RFQ for bulk handling includes a material data sheet, rate, horizontal and vertical distances, inlet/discharge conditions, environment, layout and schedule.
- A FabTek quote states scope, wear and finish package, structure, installation, lead time, country of origin, warranty and validity, with exclusions listed.

- Bulk Conveying Over Distance & Height

Start with a conversation, not a drawing
You do not need drawings to start. A phone or video call to describe the material, the rate, the route and the environment lets our engineers tell you quickly whether the job fits, what conveyor types are likely, and what information will be needed. Many customers in metals, catalysts, chemicals and food cannot share drawings before a non-disclosure agreement is in place. That is normal. Send us your NDA or ask for ours; we sign it, then the drawings and process details follow.
What a complete RFQ includes
| Bulk handling / process conveyor | Material description and data sheet (bulk density, particle size, abrasiveness, moisture, temperature, hazards); required rate in tons or pounds per hour; horizontal distance and vertical lift for each leg; inlet and discharge conditions; environment (indoor, outdoor, washdown, hazardous area); site layout or plant drawings; finish and material-of-construction preferences; the schedule you need to hit |
|---|---|
| Unit handling (belt, roller, gravity) | Product size and weight; throughput; lengths, widths, elevations and inclines; controls scope; any specification the equipment must meet |
| Federal and reseller solicitations | The specification or statement of work, quantities by option, destination, due date, and the items the solicitation requires the quote to state |
| Retrofit, rebuild or replacement | Make and model of the existing conveyor if known, photos, the problems you are seeing, and when the line can be down |
Whatever you have is a fine starting point; we will tell you what else we need.
What you get back
A FabTek quote states scope in plain terms: conveyor type, size and construction; wear and finish package; structure, platforms and guards included; installation and commissioning; lead time; country of origin (fabricated in Mississippi — Built in the U.S.A.); warranty; and validity. Exclusions are listed rather than left for you to discover. For government and reseller solicitations, we complete the compliance items the solicitation asks for — see Part 3.
Typical timelines
Budgetary pricing from a conversation and a layout can come back in days. A firm quote on an engineered system follows the material review and site information. Fabrication lead times for conveyor and structure are measured in weeks, and installation is scheduled around your production calendar. Rush and shutdown-window work is common and should be flagged early so capacity is held — see lead times and capacity.
Who you will work with
Inquiries go to our sales team and are routed to an engineer who has built conveyors for your kind of material. The person who scopes the job stays on it through installation. Our crews install and service nationwide from four production sites in Mississippi. Explore the conveyor family, or contact us to start.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need drawings to get a conveyor quote?
No. A description of the material, rate and route is enough to start. Drawings and site information follow, under NDA if needed.
Will FabTek sign an NDA before seeing our process?
Yes. We sign customer NDAs or provide ours before confidential drawings and process details are exchanged.
How much does a custom conveyor system cost?
It depends on conveyor type, length, construction, structure and installation scope. We provide budgetary pricing from a conversation and layout, then a firm quote after engineering review.
