Overview

Transformer tanks, welded to spec.

FabTek fabricates transformer tanks and large welded vessels — built to your drawings with AWS-certified welding and finished in-house. We build the tank and enclosure, not the energized transformer.

For transformer OEMs and utilities, single-source fabrication means tighter tolerances, leak-tested welds, and schedules you can plan around. Every tank is a domestic build under an ISO 9001:2015 quality system in Hazlehurst, Mississippi.

Product Applications

Where they're used across the grid.

Transformer tanks contain the core, coils, and insulating fluid of a transformer, and must hold up to pressure, heat, and decades of outdoor exposure without leaking.

FabTek welds transformer tanks to spec for OEMs and utilities, pairing AWS-certified welding with the finishing and testing that utility-grade apparatus demands. These tanks serve distribution and power transformer programs across investor-owned utilities, public power, and the fast-growing data center market.

How They're Made

One roof, every process.

Each build moves through our own shop end to end — no outsourced steps, including paint. That's how we hold tolerances and finish quality at volume.

Fabrication runs through our laser cutting, CNC press-brake forming, robotic plasma cutting, welding, and powder-coat finishing — see our full equipment and capabilities for the machines behind each step.
