FabTek has scaled from one building to three in under two years — with 200K sqft of active production today, and 300K sqft targeted by 2028.
Over recent years we have scaled our production footprint to over 200K sqft in Jackson, Mississippi — with plans to achieve 300K sqft by 2028.
Each site addition has been a deliberate answer to a customer demand signal: more cabinet capacity, crane-handled heavy work, space for new product lines like bus ducts. We don't grow for the sake of square footage — we grow to keep saying yes to utility customers.
All three facilities operate within the Jackson, Mississippi metro — close enough to share people, equipment, and work-in-process, far enough to let each site run its own production rhythm.
The original FabTek plant and company headquarters. Home to the Amada fiber laser, CNC press brakes, and the powder coat line — the heart of the cabinet program. Primary customer-facing site for tours and intake.
Added in 2024 to absorb growing transformer cabinet and enclosure volume, and to give the structural frames program a dedicated area. Enabled the jump to hundreds of cabinets per month.
Strategically acquired with overhead cranes already installed and a strong local labor pool. Host to heavy structural work, tanks, and bus duct assembly — anything that needs lift capacity to move.
Active build-out bringing total operating footprint to 200K sqft. Designed around modern production flow — laser-to-press-to-weld-to-paint — with room to add a second Voortman cell when volume justifies.
Jackson, Mississippi sits at the crossroads of the Southeast power corridor — with access to major utility service territories, interstate freight, and a deep regional labor pool. It's a place that understands what it takes to build heavy things the right way.
Our three sites cluster within minutes of each other, letting us run work across buildings as a single operation. The region's workforce, supply chain, and transportation network are a real and lasting competitive advantage.
We host utility customers, EPCs, and OEMs for facility tours. Send us a note and we'll set it up.
